Our Performance Group classes are fun, community-focused sessions encompassing ballet, jazz, contemporary and hiphop dance genres. These sessions create an environment where creativity, individuality and self-expression is encouraged. Students not only learn dance exercises and routines from their teachers, but have the opportunity to explore the creative process through coming up with movement ideas of their own. The aim of these class is to offer students the opportunity to discover the joy of dance with the focus of sharing this in relaxed performances out in the community.
Performance Group classes are mixed sessions for both boys and girls.
These classes cost $8.00 per session, to be paid up front in full before the start of the term.
These classes are organised by age – when enrolling use the age of your child on June 1st 2017. Children only need to sign up for and attend one session per week.

No specialised dance footwear is required for Performance Groups, it is recommended that all children dance barefoot.
Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back out of the face at all times.
If you would like to give our Creative Movement programme a try you will need to book in. Many of our classes are fully booked so get in touch via phone or email to see what vacancies are available. We would hate for your little dancer to turn up excited for class only to be turned away due to a fully booked session!
Yes we always offer new students their first class free. This allows children to give the class a try to see what it’s all about and if it’s something the might enjoy signing up for, and parents a chance to get a feel for our studio and see if out programmes and teaching styles are what you are looking for.
No. Our Creative Movement programme is class based only, with no examinations. We do offer examinations from 5 years old if your dancer decides to get a little more serious in the future.
Yes, if they would like to. Our Creative Movement students have the opportunity to participate in our annual mid-year showcase. We buddy the little ones up with a senior leader to follow – they are usually the highlight of the show each year! Our performances are always optional for this age group, but we highly recommend to get involved if possible. It’s so much fun and gives our class a goal to work towards.
Yes. If we know you will be away we will contact a student from our waiting list to come along for that week. While Creative Movement operates on a pay as you come basis, you will be charged for any class when you are away without informing us of your absence ahead of time.
